NADRA Shutdown Website Services Now Available on Pak Identity App

NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) has made a big change! On January 17, 2025, NADRA stopped using its Pak-ID website and moved all its services to a new mobile app. The idea is to make it easier for people to use their services, stop fraud, and help more people, both in Pakistan and abroad. But is this the right choice for everyone? Let’s talk about what this change means.

From Website to Mobile App

NADRA has decided to close its Pak-ID website. This website helped people apply for CNICs, NICOPs, and other important documents. While it was helpful, many people found it hard to use. For example, scanning and uploading documents was tricky, and fake websites pretending to be NADRA caused problems.

To fix these issues, NADRA Shutdown Website and is launching a new mobile app. This app is easier to use and safer, so people can finish their applications from home without needing to scan documents.

What Can the Mobile App Do?

NADRA’s new app (PAK Identity) makes life easier by offering all the services in one place. Here’s what you can do with it:

  • Apply for CNICs, NICOPs, POCs, B-Forms, and FRCs.
  • Submit documents and pay goverment fees with just a few taps.
  • Keep your information safe with strong security.

This app will be especially helpful for Pakistanis living abroad. They won’t need to rely on slow postal services or visit embassies anymore.

Why Close the Website?

  1. Stopping Fraud: Fake websites tricked people into sharing their personal information. The app is safer and harder to copy.
  2. Making It Easier: The website was hard to use, but the app has a simple design to help everyone.
  3. Following Trends: Apps are the future! Many countries now use apps for government services.

Helping People in Remote Areas

NADRA isn’t just focusing on digital services. They’re also opening new offices in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan. These offices will open by March 31, 2025, and will make it easier for people in faraway places to get help. This way, NADRA is helping both online users and those who need in-person support.

Challenges NADRA Needs to Solve

The app sounds great, but there are some problems to think about:

  • Can Everyone Use It? Not everyone knows how to use a smartphone or an app, especially in villages.
  • Do People Have Smartphones? Some people might not own phones that can run the app.
  • Learning New Things: People used to the website might find it hard to switch to the app at first.

NADRA needs to make sure these issues don’t stop people from getting their important documents.

Download NADRA Pak Identity App

To use NADRA’s new app, you need to download it on your phone. It’s easy:

Download Pak Identity App
For Andriod

For Android Users: Go to the Google Play Store, type "NADRA Pak Identity" in the search bar, and tap download.

Download Pak Identity App for IOS
For IOS

For iPhone Users: Open the Apple App Store, search for "NADRA Pak Identity," and press install.

After downloading, you can create an account or log in if you already have one. The app will guide you step by step, so you can easily apply for a CNIC or send documents.

This new app makes it simple to get NADRA’s services from home. But remember to download the official app to stay safe from fake ones!

Final Thoughts

The new app is a great way to improve NADRA’s services. It’s safer and easier to use, which makes it a smart choice for the future. But not everyone will find it easy to download and set up the app. Many people still prefer to visit government offices, like we’ve seen with apps such as E-Pay. The old Pak-ID website also had its problems, like being too hard for some people to understand.

If NADRA helps people learn how to use the app and makes sure no one is left behind, this change could be amazing for Pakistanis everywhere. Faster, safer, and more convenient services are what everyone wants, but support for those who need it is just as important.

What do you think about NADRA’s decision? Will the app make things better, or is there more work to do? Share your thoughts!
